With a Top 80 Engine & 135cm E-Prop
The MINIPLANE Rigid Cage Paramotor has raised the bar for efficiency and performance in the 80cc engine category!
QUIETER
The new wider propeller is made possible by a new Gearbox with a reduction ratio that spins a specially made wide blade E-Props 135cm propeller at a slower RPM while still allowing the engine to rev to the optimal RPM. The result is a quieter and more powerful machine than the skinny blade 130cm propeller found on the standard Miniplane with the 19:73 gearbox.

Using the same 80cc Top 80 Engine, this new paramotor continues the tradition of efficiency and low fuel consumption that Miniplane has always been known for.

RIGID CAGE
The new fully rigid 2-piece cage with aerfoil shaped outer ring gives the pilot confidence without adding undue weight to the paramotor.

SIZE
Miniplane's Rigid Cage 140 Paramotor is the same size as the original Miniplane Flex cage, but this new machine is a world of difference! The gearbox/propeller combo offers incredible thrust, sound and efficiency advantages over the original Flex Cage design that needs to be experienced to fully appreciate the benefits. No other paramotor has this ability at this time!

LONG RANGE
This Miniplane has the capacity for incredible Long Range explorations in the air! The regular 12L tank provides many hours of flight time, more than enough for the average pilot to enjoy the magic of personal flight.
Performance like Never Before!
In general, every aspect of performance is improved. There is better efficiency of the propeller (higher aspect ratio) so more thrust is obtained with less energy consumption. A larger propeller needs adequate protection that is not offered by Miniplane's traditional flexible fiberglass ring cage.
The solution for propeller protection is Miniplane's new cage built with a high strength aluminum drop-shaped aerofoil profile.
The new reduction ratio makes the propeller turn more slowly. Thanks to this increased efficiency, during horizontal flight the noise is greatly reduced making the flight more relaxing for the pilot with less noise disturbance for those who are watching from the ground.
The new lightweight composite E-Props propeller becomes a necessary and excellent choice for this paramotor, because it is impossible to achieve the same performance with a large wooden propeller.
A further advantage is that the profile used for this carbon fiber propeller keeps performance high even as air density decreases, as it maintains thrust as the height increases. While the Static thrust is increased a bit, the real benefit is the climb rate especially at altitude. Most of this extra performance comes from the longer and wider propeller catching more air outside the disturbed airflow of the pilot.

The Miniplane Rigid Cage project is based on the innovative Rigid Cage 150 Long Range Paramotor made by Per Il Volo.
Now, our ability to fly higher and farther is made possible with a bigger prop turning more slowly, which offers good thrust with lower noise.
The wider 135cm prop is made possible by a new gearbox and reduction ratio that allows the Top 80 engine to use a much wider propeller than ever before while still staying within the necessary RPM range of the engine.
